Chapman Lakes Ecotour
The Chapman Lakes Conservation Association and the Lilly Center invite you on an Ecotour Expedition of the Chapman Lakes on Friday, July 11th from 7:00 – 9:00p.m.
You can join the tour with your friends or family from the safety of your own boat. Dr. Nate Bosch will narrate the tour, and it will be broadcast on an FM radio station for your listening comfort. You will be encouraged to text your own questions to him during the tour as well! Learn to see your lake in new ways as you explore the surface to the deepest depths and the largest to the smallest plants and animals living in the middle. Tour participants will learn about and even experience the lake food chain, the lake’s temperature layers, inflowing streams, surrounding wetlands, weeds and algae, and more. Come prepared to have fun, learn and win some prizes!
Please arrive early at the docks outside of Joel & Heather Wihebrink’s home at the point of Chapman Lake Park, 67 EMS C28G Lane to pick up your program and gift bag. Bring the entire family for this leisurely learning tour of Chapman Lakes. Each child will receive their own gift bag. Remember, you will need to be in a boat to participate in the tour. Be sure to pack your gear and join us for the expedition!
